A downloadable game

First, this game is still in early development. Pictures shown are not 100% how they will appear in the game. (Still debating on font style/colour and placement, the title picture will be different though that picture will appear in the game.)

For those who enjoyed my first game "Levar's Life" I have decided to make my next story in the series be the next game I am doing.

Years after Levar's Life has ended, a new cub is born. She has an unusual birthmark of a paw print on her left shoulder. But she is far from the only one. (She and many other lions were given this marking to show who the protectors of the lands are. Sent from the heavens themselves, to protect the others from Danny.)

Unlike my first game where I made sure every path and every ending would fit into the rest of my stories, this game will allow for much more freedom. You will get to play through the "what if's" of her story. At this moment there is 2 "True Endings" that will line the story up to my comic series on Deviant Art. But there will also be many endings that will not. (11 are planned in total at this moment but that might go down as things fall together more.)

In this game Nora's relationship with other characters a major factor on how things will go. Who she befriends and who she hates will say much about her, and will determine how others react to her in the story. It will also determine one of the three paths you can take though the story.

Though not as major of an impact I have also included traits Nora can gain over time. These will be, much like in Levar's Life, where she will reply to others around her later in the story based on how you have been playing the game. (She can get up to three of the traits based on your choices in the game.) These traits will unlock choices you can make though out the story.

Another interesting part about it will be in the paths Nora takes the other paths are still part of the story-line. Just because you are not part of that group at that time doesn't mean things are not still happening. You may over hear part of a conversation while playing one path, but in another path be part of that conversation and know everything going on.

While you will be playing a whole new character in this game, you will still see some characters from Levar's Life, including the possibility of seeing and having as a main character, Levar.

**********

This game is not overly close to being done. I am not even sure if I will have it released next year. Though within the next year I should have a much better idea for it. Currently I am working mostly on the programing and story more than the artwork. So sorry there is not a ton of art to show you guys. Once the game is ready to play and the script is being checked by people editing it I will be working on the artwork. Please be patient, I am working on it, but the next update to tell you guys may not be until mid 2021. Once the programing and story are all done I will have much more to tell and can start working on the artwork.

If you need something to fill the time, check out my first game "Levar's Life" as that is the story that comes before this one. Or you can jump ahead to the story that takes place after this game and check out my comic series. (My goal for this game is to release it between Chapter 6 and Chapter 7 of the comic. So yes you will get an entire other chapter before the game comes out.) That is planned and while working on the comic I will be working on the game as well. (The comic has Nora in it and may spoil some parts of the true ending of her story, at least some aspect of it. Also the comic was started in 2007 then I stopped and restarted in 2014 and have been pretty active at posting a new chapter a year since, expect for the year I took off for my first game. So you will notice a skill jump on the 4th page of chapter 1.)

Wow, just replayed the updated version of Levar's life and got another good ending (I always do, I cannot be evil) and decided to check your page and saw this great news! Surprised no one else commented so far. 2020 was such a hard year for everyone, but those who survived including me are so happy you and your great visual novel games exist, you do remember my comments on Levar's life, do you? Did you try Angels with Scaly Wings since then, another amazing dramatic visual novel but with dragons? Also have you seen Raya and the Last Dragon? That movie impacted me so much. Anyway, really looking forward to playing this sequel. I wish you could publish your games on steam or something, that way more ppl knew about them.

Yes I remember you. :D Sorry about my late reply. It always seems to be that way that I do not see things until  months after. I am sure it was a surprise to see I finally got this game announced. I am super excited about it. And while there is some delaying happening with getting to the end it is still happening. I am very excited to see this one though.

I thought I had "Angels with Scaly Wings" on my wish-list. I can't for the life of me figure out how it didn't go on. I have it on now I hope. I wanted to play it as I have a friend who loves Dragons a lot so I wanted to play it and then tell him about it. I have not seen Raya and the Last Dragon. I will have to. I heard a lot about it. I wish I still worked in the Disney parks as I would have had more opportunity to see it there. :( But I have had it on my radar for a while to watch. Maybe when I get away in the fall for work I can actually get some time to watch movies. (I have not seen a movie at home or elsewhere since 2019.)

I hope I can someday. I am thinking once Nora's Story is done I will look into putting it there. Maybe updating Levar's Life a bit. But that is not required to have them on there as I can always put an update out after it is on Steam. But that is sort of the plan after this one comes out. :)

Well I have e-mail notifications so I know when there's a reply. As for Raya - I've seen it in IMAX and then a 2 or 3 times in 3D, I even lost count (in Ukraine ticket costs around 3$. It's also obviously very easy to watch anything online here if you don't go to cinema, though I did buy Raya officially (i.e., digital copy) as soon as it was available.

As for AWSW - just check some reviews and you'll see how ppl react to it. Same way as Undertale was the most well-know Game Maker game, AWSW is probably the best Ren'Py game. It's so deep that it has 13 endings, including "evil" one, the analogue of Undertale's genocide route. It also has lots of secrets, so many that the author of the game claims that fans haven't been able to discover them all even though several years passed since the game's release. I was especially impressed by how well-hidden was the "Secret Total Ending" of the game, it's, like, even 100 times harder to discover than the True Endin, because to receive it you practically need to hack into game's files. And the game will also destroy you emotionally multiple times in a row, even with some of its "good" endings. Also, after you finish the game you'll probably want to play fan-made mods, they're integrated into the game so well that you don't even need to install them manually, the game searches and installs them itself. So far I've only played "Not-so-Tragic Hero" mod (interesting thing is that it requires and checks a lot of in-game stuff too and you need to have received True ending and have certail levels of relationships with dragons for the mod to trigger, WOW).

Anyway I'll be interested to read your review after you fully complete Angels with Scaly Wings (which means seeing True Ending). As well as to find out who was your favorite dragon.
